I grew up in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts in a family of hoteliers. This environment was rich in the arts and from an early age was exposed to musicians, artists and creatives from many walks of life. Early on I developed interests in music, painting, photography and travel. Today I find expression in jazz guitar and composition, photographing places I've visited and translating some of these impressions in the oil paintings you see on these gallery pages.
While I draw and sketch in linear mediums, I paint in oils. I'm fascinated with the possibilities. The mixing and application of paint to a surface is as varied as there are artists.

The world is an exciting and fascinating place filled with places of beauty and stark contrast inhabited by creatures great and small trying to survive and express their unique natures in this global panorama.
