These Giclee prints are exceptional fine art prints of Roy Prinz’s original oil paintings. The Giclee print has only recently been available through the technological advance of image capturing and print reproduction. The printmaker uses a high resolution camera to record an image of the original artwork which is then color corrected and matched to the painting. The actual Giclee print is created on a high resolution computer controlled ink jet printer that ‘sprays’ droplets of fade resistant pigment based ink. Giclee prints have a higher print resolution that other printing methods and have the ability to produce a dynamic color range.
These lightfast fine art prints are reproduced on artist quality canvas then coated with a color protecting clear UV finish. The Giclee canvas then receives a thin coat of varnish which protects the surface. When finished these Giclee prints are alive with vibrant color capturing the painterly detail of the brushwork. The end result is an archival quality fine art print that has a print life of several decades. Roy’s Giclee art prints are offered in limited editions are signed by the artist. These Giclee prints are available either unstretched or stretched on framer bars ready for framing.
